This blog post will provide announcements and insights on the updates and progress that has been made by the Abelian Foundation, and the technological advancements and upcoming changes to look forward to from the third week of March, 2024.
Announcements
Tech Integration with Exchanges
This week, the tech team has been busy working together with three more centralized exchanges to support them on the integration of the Abelian network to their systems. Together with MEXC and XT, ABEL will be listed on altogether 5 exchanges. This will support many more users to buy ABELs. We will continue investing into this area, improving the accessibility of $ABEL to everyone — reaching out to more users through their favorite exchanges.
The list of exchanges will be announced soon on Abelian’s official Twitter page. Stay tuned!
Progress
Abelian Pro Mobile Wallet
On the mobile wallet software development, the tech team is working on supporting the Abelian User Protocol (AUT), which allows users to issue their own quantum-safe tokens on the Abelian network. This protocol will be supported by the Abelian Pro mobile wallet after the forthcoming hard fork at the block height 280,000 (expected April or May).
If you haven’t migrated to using the Abelian Pro mobile wallet yet, the foundation strongly advises downloading a copy from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Or, you can check it out on the download page of Abelian’s official website.
[FAQ] Abelian Pro Mobile Wallet
- I’ve forgot my password for the Abelian Pro Wallet. What can I do?
The Abelian Pro wallet is a non-custodial wallet. The Foundation does not have a copy of any user’s private key or any backup. Hence it is of utmost important for users to back up their private keys when using the mobile wallet app. It is also a good idea to authorize the new biometric login feature in case of a forgotten password. On the other side, if a user only forgets about the app’s PIN and have his private key backed up already, he/she can simply delete the app and re-install it like a brand-new app. Then he can choose a new password, enable biometric authentication and import his private key.
Please don’t forget to back up your private keys of your Abelian Pro when installing!
2. Can I Delete Account from the legacy wallet once I’ve installed the Abelian Pro?
Although it is safe to delete the legacy app from the device, the foundation advises not to Delete Account from the legacy wallet, until the end of this year — just in case of unexpected issues.

More about the Hard Fork
- The hard fork will enable multi-tier privacy preserving technologies. Besides the existing full privacy tier, abec nodes powering the Abelian Network will support the pseudonymous tier which allows users to create pseudonymous ABEL wallets. By using this type of wallets, we allow users trace our transfer transactions and check our wallet balances on the block explorer in a similar way to that for the Bitcoin and Ethereum networks.
- We also expect all exchanges which support ABEL to use pseudonymous wallets in the future and we can provide auditing information of ABEL transactions by referring directly to the information available on the Abelian block explorer
- ABELs can also be transferred between pseudonymous wallets and fully private wallets. Users, after hard fork, can create two types of ABEL wallets: one type is a pseudonymous wallet for interacting with exchanges; and the other one is a fully private wallet for HODLing their ABELs as the Digital Gold 2.0. The fully private wallet will ensure that their ABELs stored inside the wallet is completely anonymous and untraceable. No one can find out the balance of your fully private ABEL wallets. We believe the Digital Gold 2.0 is defined as quantum-safe and wallet privacy. Excited? So are we.
Abelian is building the foundation of a Post-Quantum world
Abelian is a Layer 1 blockchain engineered to withstand quantum threats. NIST, National Institute of Standards and Technology, has already approved multiple lattice-based cryptographic algorithms for quantum-resistant encryption and digital signature. With lattice-based cryptography, multi-tier privacy, and robust decentralization, Abelian ensures your digital assets to remain secure, private, and future-proof.
Join the race to quantum resistance
Abelian powers the next-generation Layer 1 blockchain, designed to protect your transactions, assets, and data against adversarial quantum attacks.
