We are thrilled to announce the release of new versions for the Abelian Full Node and CLI (Command Line Interface) Wallet following our successful hard fork at block height 284,000. Introducing “abec” v0.13.0 and “abewallet” v0.13.1!

🖥️ Multi-Platform Support

The new versions are available for:

Windows
macOS (both Intel and Apple Silicon such as M1, M2, etc.)
Linux (including ARM architecture)

🛠️ What’s New?

New Difficulty Smoothing Algorithm (DSA): Enhances the stability and efficiency of the network.
Minor Bug Fixes: We’ve patched up a few minor bugs to improve your experience.

Abec v0.13.0 (Full Node)

🌐 Node Types and Storage Requirements

You can run the “abec” Abelian node in three different modes:

Fullnode: Stores all ledger data and auxiliary data, requiring over 750GB.
Semifullnode: Stores ledger data and the latest auxiliary data from a checkpoint, needing around 177GB.
Normalnode: Stores ledger data and the latest 2,000 blocks of auxiliary data, requiring about 113GB.

🔄 Wallet Re-Import Recommended

For a smoother experience, we recommend all CLI wallet users to re-import their wallets from the 24-word mnemonic lists. This will refresh your local wallet database and minimize unexpected issues.

Here’s how to do it:

Remove the Abewallet data folder (e.g., for macOS, it’s located at `~/Library/Application\ Support/Abewallet`).
Run `abewallet` again with the “ — create” option.
